I paint and draw since I was 15 years old. I was schooled at Baarnsch Lyceum and followed some courses afterward. During the period 1998 until 2011 I stopped. I married, got two beautiful daughters and when they were getting older there was space to spend some time on myself and dig up my creativity.
From 2011-2014 I took lessons at Studio Wim van Veelen. So I am painting again and with pleasure! My creative side is flowing and the ideas don’t stop coming. In 2013 there was an increase in interest in my work and I started to sell my paintings.
The themes I painted the most are nature, portraits, and spirituality. I want to make people happy and spread positive thoughts and feelings. That is why I use mostly bright colors and I hope that every person that has one of my paintings experiences a bit of that happiness and positivity when they see my painting.
In 2020 corona hit me, and the effects of an earlier brain injury were amplified. I had to stop my career. Now I focus totally on my creative process in combination with my online coach atelier (sandrabarth.online).
I make a creative challenge every two weeks for my community and of course, I let the community challenge me too. Follow me on Instagram to see the challenges (Dutch). On this blog, I place the challenges in English.
If you have any questions or if you want me to make a painting for you, you can contact me by e-mail or leave a reply below.
