Today I visited a museum in Zwolle. There was an exhibition with the art of Tjalf Sparnaay, a Dutch megarealist. His work is even sold in New York. He is someone our (grand)children once will learn about in school. What a talent! It is so realistic your think it is a picture. But then you understand it is not, because there is much more depth and the enhancement makes it so realistic, you feel like you could take the object from the canvass.
It was very inspiring, but not for my own projects. I will never be able to paint like this. I guess I will stick to impressionism-like painting.
