My art teacher has a thing for tree trunks. Once he even took a whole tree trunk with a lot of roots on it to his house. A few kilometers he dragged it over a dyke, through the village until he reached his garden.
So did he with this specific piece of wood. It is a butterfly bush, with the roots on top and the branches downwards. He told us to choose a wooden object from his studio and paint it.
I could not help see a alien-like creature, that trippling with the toes, wears some hat with curly octopussy moving tentacles and a bird-beak.
