50’s dress and bubbles

My daughter said her friend was fond of Kelly Reemtsen, a very good artist that paints women in 50’s dresses with very manly machinery in their hands. Like a chainsaw, hammer, axe and so on.

In The Netherlands we give our family and friends presents on December 5th, when we celebrate the birthday of Santa Claus (Sinterklaas). So my daughter asked if I wanted to make a painting for her friend, so she could give it to her on the 5th of December. And I made it. With the bubbles, it gives the painting a light sensation and I cannot help hearing imaginary plops from the bells that are popping apart.
